Washington D.C...Life in Georgetown

Alrighty so quick update on our beautiful home. We are SO Happy and SO VERY thankful for it! I haven't blogged lately because every spare minute I was unpacking, hanging pictures, and organizing. Also Relationship Church is going great and we have been busy with that as well. We have met 3 Sundays as a church and it is SO EXCITING :) I will do more a more detailed post on the house and church later.

So now onto what we did this weekend! Matt and I made a trip to DC to visit our great friends Karen and Zach. We had an awesome time! We arrived Friday night about 10:45pm.  Driving into the city is always so cool.  Everyone is buzzing around and the culture is so diverse.  Just in Georgetown we saw restaurants ranging from Indian to Ethiopian. Once we got to Karen and Zach's we relaxed and just hung out.  It was so exciting to be there and there place is so neat! They live in the basement of a gorgeous Georgetown home. They can walk everywhere and it is such a unique experience!!

Saturday morning we went to Saxby's for coffee, apple fritters, muffins, and yogurt. It was very yummy.  Next we trekked down the road to catch the bus.

It was rainy but were were smiling and determined to do everything we wanted to do. We were off to see the Spy Museum and walk around D.C.  The Spy Museum was interactive and a fun experience. We got to pretend were a spies and learn all the tricks of the trade.  A letter written by George Washington is displayed in the museum only 2 months out of the year and we got to see it. After the museum we had lunch at Teeism an Asian restaurant.  Delish!

After lunch we went back to Georgetown for some shopping! Karen and I hit our favorite shops...Anthropologie, J Crew, Banana Republic, Zara, and some others. We were good and stayed on budget though! While we shopped Matt and Zach had some guy time and went to a local pub for a beer.
