So Long Insecurity....you have been a bad friend!

So Long Insecurity... you have been a bad friend! This is the title of Beth Moore's new book and the conference that I went to yesterday. Wow you don't realize how much insecurity can negatively effect your life.  Here are some of my notes from the conference:

  • You gain nothing from insecurity. Insecurity is not a weakness, it is unbelief.
  • Insecurity makes us chronically self aware.
  • You are completely forgiven and fully loved by God. Insecurity comes from not believing this and living out of a lie.
A secure woman is:
Saved from herself ( Biggest enemy is our own insecurity)
Entitled to Truth (God's Truth, who we are in Christ)
Clothed with Intention ( Clothed with God's Righteousness, Strength, and Dignity)
Upended by Grace (God has given us Grace, so Grace others)
Rebounded by Love ( Love others, do not condemn)
Exceptional in Life (Lives a victorious and free life!)

Unforgiveness eats us alive. How much would be willing to forgive if we were secure?

Security begins in the mind, don't wait to act secure when you feel secure.

Live in accordance to Truth in Christ. If a heart doesn't heal, it hardens.  Grace takes up the space in a secure women. Don't place security in people.

Wow! Awesome stuff huh? It was a really cool conference with great fellowship...300,000 people in the US were part of it. It was broadcast live all over America.  God is an awesome God.

On another note, Matt's wonderful parents and our darling neice Elaina came to visit for the weekend. What a blessing it was to have them here. Elaina had lots of playtime, she enjoyed yummy french fries with LOTS of sauce at Red Robin.  She took many walks, threw the ball for Louie, went to a fun cookout, danced like a silly girl and was actually really good.  She played with kids at the cookout, went to church, and took a trip to Target.  We all had so much fun! :) Elaina is a busy bee and man you definitely get your workout just keeping up with her.
